Tournament Regulations:

01. All players shall take part in a 7-round Individual Swiss System.

02. The games will be played according to the schedule below.

03. Time Control is 25 minutes per player.

04. Kinabalu Chess Academy reserves the right to reject entries.

05. Limited to 90 participants.

06. Final score (Solkoff, Sonneborn Berger, Most Number of Wins, Personal Encounter)

07. Notation is not required.

08. REGISTRATION CLOSE at 18th January 2013.

09. Participants is entitled for only 1 prize(higher).

10. Certificate will be issued tto U18 players only.

11. All games will be played according to FIDE rules.

01. All players shall take part in a 7-round Team Swiss System.

02. The games will be played according to the schedule below.

03. Time Control is 25 minutes per player.

04. Kinabalu Chess Academy reserves the right to reject entries.

05. Limited to 30 teams only and the team format will be 3+0 (no reserve player).

06. Final score (Match Point, Game Point, Solkoff)

07. Notation is not required.

08. REGISTRATION CLOSE at 19th January 2013.

09. Participants is entitled for only 1 prize.

10. Certificate will be issued for U18 players only.

11. Team players must contain an average of not more than 1700, based on OCTOBER 2012 MCF NATIONAL RATING. Unrated players will be counted as 1400 (for team average purposes).Please refer here to check your rating.**

12. All games will be played according to FIDE rules.
